Why do I bother? *sigh*

Yep, I got sucked back into the world of Maples again. They are putting out the final part of the story of the Black Mage and the war against him so I had to take part. On the plus side, no monthly sub! On the bad side, when I tried to hop in right away I hit their usual maintenance wall. :(

This is my Tera Burnt character, a normal Explorer Ice/Lighting Mage.

Why did I choose this instead of the awesome wicked cool characters that just came out? Well....

1. You get probably the best badges in the game outside of events just by completing your story.
2. Since I am going to be ripping through levels(just got 12 levels from the first part of a story event alone), I won't have time to stop and enjoy the story, and the normal Explorer has story quests that are spaced out from Level 10 to 100 very generously.
3. Also, I can monster hunt all I want without being interrupted by story...
4. And I love the Ice/Lightning Mage. His mechanics are easy to get into. Already I have a homing thundercloud that zaps enemies nearby and a powerful area attack that hits all enemies around me and an ice chain that drags enemies to me!
5. It gets better: 4th job gives me CHAIN LIGHTNING!!!

As such I am making an early New Year Resolution for 2019. I resolve to get my main character to Level 250 and go through the stories which involve getting carried for the super-bosses. I do get some great armor... but it vanishes after 30 days, so I have to be online all month to get better armor before it vanishes and leaves me naked and forced back to the weaker Frozen set.

Not only that, but Super Smash Bros. Ultimate comes out in a few days and once that game downloads to my Switch, I'm going to be spending my days unlocking every Spirit in the game and completing the World of Light campaign. As such, I will have to seriously cut down on my Playstation time to make room for these games. Already I have not earned a single platinum in days due to half of my day being spent on Maplestory, and I need to spend the afternoons on that game so I don't burn the midnight oil and ruin my sleep schedule.

And then there is Christmas...

As such, I am going to be demoting trophy hunting to a on-off hobby now. I will still hop onto PS games like Dark Cloud 2 and spend a few hours there, but now that I have earned over 100 platinums, something which few casual players do, I want to step back.

Milestone #105!

I'm so sorry, Pupuru! I promise I'll buy your game and play it through. I am not going through the 256 floor bonus dungeon in a rental!

Of course, I say that after spending a WEEK on Tearaway. It took me a few tries but I eventually got the platinum for it. I also got the platinum for LEGO Marvel Superheroes, but I don't have a shot.

So that's Platinum #105 and !06 in the bag. I'm at an impasse right now.

WE DID IT, GUYS!

At long last, I have hit 100 platinum trophies. ^_^

Almost there!

Finally got my 99th platinum and now I can repackage the Spyro Reignited trilogy and give it to my friend for Christmas! ^_^

With The Sims 4 getting bugged, it looks like Black Friday is coming sooner than I expected. :p

No, just no. :(

I've been really busy with platinum hunting. Here are the games I've conquered in the interim:

91. Shadow of Loot Box, a really stupid game mocking game development and microtransactions. Really short but filled with RNG madness. It took me hours to get enough experience from the loot boxes to get the final trophy.

92. Word Sudoku, again. This time it was the PS4 version. The solutions were EZ and I needed to glut the list to get to #100.

93: FreezeME. Finally got this turd out of my toilet. Got the last 12 cubes, opened the last levels, and only died twice getting to Fat the Cat.

94: The Gardens Between. While you only use the analog stick and X button, the time manipulation puzzles are really devious. I also missed two trophies because I didn't pay attention to the video guide I was looking at. Still very beautiful.

95: A HAT IN FREKING TIME. FINALLY! I love this game, I do, but the last trophies are pure evil. Still it was a fun game to play and I might play it on PC to do the Seal the Deal DLC for kicks and giggles. :)

96: Ratchet and Clank, so that makes my Backlog Pyramid a little more complete...

So only four games left to #100, and I will reveal my plans for them now. First...

You knew this was coming.

I was a big fan of Spyro the Dragon back in the day, and these games kept the hell-bending challenges that made them so love/hate you back on the old PSX. Now they are more hateful with the 3D HD graphics and orchestrated music. ^_^

So yeah, I will try hell and high water to get at least one of these as #97-99, hopefully all three for...

Yeah, this is going to be my 100th platinum because of ProfessorPalmer, Twitchighspirits, and Bowiethehero when they did a four-part video series of their twitchstream of the Platinum Percent speedrun of this game. I think this game will be the one to crown my first 100. I know it will mean a lot of work to avoid any other games until this happens but I have faith.
